Spirit Connection

This painting is a deeply personal expression of Iona’s experience with nature and the divine. That unexplained energy that she feels when a loved one has passed over, the subtle signs through nature and opening herself up to the unknown.

 She has been able to express this through her senses, that often become dulled by our busy lives. The goldfinch is seen as an intermediary between humans and the divine, carrying messages from the heavens to the earthly realm.
